Martina Kraml

From 1976 to 1979 she worked as a teacher at a primary school in Schwarzenberg (Vorarlberg). From 1979 to 1986 she studied independent religious education and Christian philosophy at the Faculty of Theology in Innsbruck. From 1985 to 1990 she taught in different types of schools (special general school, primary school, AHS). From 2000 to 2002 she taught at the Academy for Religious Education of the Diocese of Innsbruck. After her doctoral studies (1998-2001) in the field of catechesis/religious education and subject didactics with the thesis: “Miteinander Essen und Trinken. Kulturtheoretisch-theologische Prolegomena für die Mahlkatechese” (Eating and drinking together. Cultural-theological prolegomena for the catechesis of the meal), she became a university assistant at the Institute for Practical Theology in 2002.

After her habilitation in 2013 in the departments Catechesis/Religious Education and Didactics of Religions with the habilitation thesis “Dissertation gestalten im Raum der Möglichkeiten (Conceiving a thesis in the space of possibilities). A theological-didactic study of dissertation processes with a focus on the development of empirical research”, she became an associate professor in the Department of Practical Theology in 2013. In 2017, she was appointed university professor of catechesis/religious education and didactics at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the University of Innsbruck.
