Rethinking Ecotheology in the Abrahamic Traditions: Decentering the Human
The Institut romand de systématique et d’éthique (IRSE) of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Geneva is hosting a study day entitled Decentering the Human: Rethinking Ecotheology in the Abrahamic Traditions. Three papers bring the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions into conversation around the concepts of ḫalīfa and taskhīr, and put human exceptionalism to the test of contemporary ecotheology.

L’Institut romand de systématique et d’éthique (IRSE) de la Faculté de théologie de l’Université de Genève organise une journée d’étude intitulée Decentering the Human: Rethinking Ecotheology in the Abrahamic Traditions. Trois interventions croisent les traditions juive, chrétienne et musulmane autour des concepts de ḫalīfa et taskhīr et interrogent l’exceptionnalisme humain à la lumière de l’écothéologie contemporaine.
