“Community” and “communitarianism” are generally ill-defined terms and can be used in a derogatory way. However, “community” is not synonymous with “communitarianism” and does not necessarily generate a drift. Where one builds a coherent group, the other refers to the idea of exclusivity and is perceived as a threat.
