In a context marked by extremism, radicalism, separatism and communitarianism, French society is experiencing an intensification of identity-based and militant withdrawal.<\/strong>\n\nThis phenomenon, which is taking place at all levels (political, social), also concerns religions. It is an unavoidable and urgent challenge because the affirmation of identity is built on a discourse of contestation of the other, which can lead to expressions of physical or symbolic violence against them.\n\nIn its academic reflection conducted for more than 50 years, the Institute of Science and Theology of Religions (ISTR) deciphers the phenomenon and provides keys to deconstructing extremist expressions based on the plurality of discourses within a religious tradition.\nThe challenge that constitutes the axis and orientation of the ISTR is to found and re-found dialogue.\n\nDuring this Webminary, the resources and criteria specific to Catholics, Muslims and lay people will be questioned in order to overcome intransigence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
