This acceptance is not devoid of resistance that stem from the rise of entrenched identity expressions founded in particularly on a vision of equality that is based on the \u201csimilar\u201d which assumes a historical-ethnic (Rosanvallon) [1]  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The congress \u2018Islam and Otherness\u2019 proposes to reflect on how Islam fits into this societal movement beyond identity resistance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three axes will allow us to approach the reality of otherness in Islam in terms of resources: geopolitical axis, dialogue axis and citizenship axis (muwatana).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[1] Pierre Rosanvallon, La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des \u00e9gaux, Paris, Seuil, 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 3rd international congress of PLURIEL, on the theme &#8220;Islam and Otherness&#8221; will take place in Beirut from Monday 23 May to Friday 27 May 2022.
