Organized by the Center for the Study of Cultures and Religions (CECR) of the Catholic University of Lyon, France<\/em><\/p>\r\n

It is now established that Christianity was the majority religion in the region where the Quran was born. During this day, we propose two approaches that highlight this truth: by emphasizing the birth of Arab Christian theology and its interaction with nascent Islam, and then by following the link between the Quran and the Syriac Christian tradition.<\/p>\r\n
