The recruited person will join the Department of Foreign Languages, Literature and Civilizations and will conduct research within the Triangle laboratory (UMR 5206).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recruited teacher, who must be an excellent Arabic speaker, will provide courses at L3, Pre-master&#8217;s, M1, and M2 levels in two complementary frameworks:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>The Arabic Studies track of the Master&#8217;s in Languages<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The European and International Studies Master&#8217;s program (Middle Eastern Studies track) in the Social Sciences department<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Arabic language and translation<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Arabic literature<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Arabic civilization<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>History of ideas and political literature of contemporary Islam<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A good knowledge of classical Islam issues will be considered an asset for this application.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the Triangle laboratory, the recruited person will conduct research on:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Currents of Muslim thought in modern and contemporary times<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Modern and contemporary Arab societies<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Legal, moral, and political doctrines from a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary perspective<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Dynamics of power, domination, and social and political mobilizations<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recruited person is also expected to:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Integrate into the laboratory&#8217;s seminars and research programs<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Contribute to the development of digital corpora applied to Islamic studies<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Be able to decipher and edit Arabic manuscripts with legal, theological, or political content<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The candidate must propose an individual or collective research program related to these themes and join one of the research poles of UMR Triangle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recruited person must be able to take on administrative and pedagogical responsibilities at ENS de Lyon (such as participation in entrance examinations or responsibility for a training program) and\/or at the Triangle laboratory.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Institutional Context<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This recruitment is part of the &#8220;HR Excellence in Research&#8221; (HRS4R) certification obtained by ENS de Lyon from the European Commission, attesting to its commitment to an &#8220;Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment&#8221; approach.
