Call for Papers.<\/strong> The Research Center on Religions, Law and Economies in the Mediterranean Area (REDESM) at the University of Insubria, in collaboration with the Pluriel<\/em> network and the Anawati Chair at the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies (Id\u00e9o), invites submissions for an edited volume in the REDESM editorial series<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rationale<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Abu Dhabi Declaration on Human Fraternity<\/em> (2019), signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, was a landmark moment in the contemporary history of interreligious dialogue. By linking human fraternity to notions such as citizenship, equal rights, religious freedom, and the moral responsibility of religious traditions in the public sphere, the text raises theoretical, normative, and practical questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This volume aims to explore the conceptual and operational scope of the Declaration in pluralistic contexts, particularly within societies across the Mediterranean and the Arab world. We invite contributions examining how religious traditions, legal frameworks, and socio-economic dynamics are reshaping forms of citizenship. Submissions may address the following themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
