Openness and Resistance: Crossed Perspectives&#8221; on Friday 7 November 2025 from 8:45 am to 5:30 pm, at the Saint-Paul campus, Amphi C402, 10 place des Archives, Lyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this study day is to examine the components of a religious tradition that defines itself both in relation to and at a distance from its &#8220;otherness&#8221;, whether inherent or external. Through the study of texts and figures, this gathering seeks to reflect a plurality of approaches and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under what conditions can a religious tradition such as Islam become a site of hospitality \u2014 or of rejection \u2014 toward the different other? On what criteria might one speak of an exclusion of the other perceived as a potential threat?
