The published version of Cornelia Dockter‘s doctoral dissertation, awarded the Friedrich Spee Prize in 2020 (Beiträge zur Komparativen Theologie series, vol. 32, Brill | Schöningh, Paderborn, 2020). The book shows how the Qur’anic discourse about Jesus as the Word and Spirit of God can deepen the Christian understanding of the person of Christ. The author extends the debate between Logos and pneumatic Christology and shows how engagement with Islam helps to rediscover truths of the Christian faith.
Version publiée de la thèse de doctorat de Cornelia Dockter, primée du prix Friedrich Spee 2020 (collection Beiträge zur Komparativen Theologie, vol. 32, Brill | Schöningh, Paderborn, 2020). L’ouvrage montre comment le discours coranique sur Jésus comme Verbe et Esprit de Dieu peut approfondir la compréhension chrétienne de la personne du Christ. L’autrice y prolonge le débat entre christologie du Logos et christologie pneumatique, et illustre comment la rencontre avec l’islam permet de redécouvrir des vérités de la foi chrétienne.
