The Voice After Silence: Memories of Women during the Years of Lead in Morocco

Published as La voz tras el silencio. Memorias de mujeres en los Años de Plomo en Marruecos (Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, 2025), this collective volume coordinated by Olga Torres Díaz (University of Seville, IXBILIA group) gathers testimonies, letters and memoirs of women who lived through the repression of the Years of Lead in Morocco. Spanning more than seventy years, the book restores their experiences marked by “oppression, suffering and the violation of fundamental rights”.

Published in the series Mediterráneo: Textos y Estudios (no. 2), the volume articulates the study of contemporary Islamic movements, memory of political violence and the question of women in the Maghreb.

Paru sous le titre La voz tras el silencio. Memorias de mujeres en los Años de Plomo en Marruecos (Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, 2025), ce volume collectif coordonné par Olga Torres Díaz (Université de Séville, groupe IXBILIA) rassemble témoignages, lettres et mémoires de femmes ayant vécu la répression durant les Années de Plomb au Maroc. Sur une période de plus de soixante-dix ans, l’ouvrage restitue leurs vécus marqués par « l’oppression, la souffrance et la violation des droits fondamentaux ».

Publié dans la collection Mediterráneo: Textos y Estudios (n°2), le volume articule études des mouvements islamiques contemporains, mémoire des violences politiques et question féminine dans le Maghreb.

هذا المجلّد الجماعي الذي نسّقته أولغا توريس دياز (جامعة إشبيلية، مجموعة IXBILIA) يجمع شهادات ورسائل ومذكرات نساء عشن قمع «سنوات الرصاص» في المغرب. وعلى امتداد أكثر من سبعين عاماً، يستعيد الكتاب تجاربهنّ التي طبعتها «القمع والمعاناة وانتهاك الحقوق الأساسية».

وقد صدر ضمن سلسلة البحر المتوسط: نصوص ودراسات (العدد 2)، ويُقارِب دراسة الحركات الإسلامية المعاصرة، وذاكرة العنف السياسي، والمسألة النسائية في المغرب الأقصى.
