Proceedings of the Congress : Islam at plural, thought, faith, society
Publication of the proceedings of the first congress of PLURIEL held from 6 to 9 September 2016 at the Catholic University of Lyon.
Edited by Ali Mostfa and Michel Younès.
The theme of the congress was “Islam in the Plural. Faith, Thought and Society”
The main objective of this congress was to cross views and methodologies for a better perception of the current reality. Three axes of work punctuated the congress: the geopolitical axis where it was a question of understanding the current dynamics and their economic and confessional deployment; the theological axis which should make the questions appear sub-underlying any interreligious encounter and the societal axis relating to the diversity inherent in any religious movement, particularly in its way of meeting the challenges of modernity.
