In search of a comparative Christian social thought. A methodological proposal

The article “In search of a comparative Christian social thought” aims to propose a methodology for developing a comparative Christian social thought. To do this, it explores two sources of inspiration: the sub-discipline of comparative religious ethics, specific to the science of religions, and the current of comparative theology. Comparative religious ethics offers a powerful theoretical reflection on the problem of a method for comparability and comparative theology allows us to reinterpret this method to guarantee its theological and confessional character. By taking elements from both sources and combining them, we can present a sufficiently systematized method that starts from categories of comparison specific to political thought that are illuminated in the comparative view between Christianity and other religious traditions.
