Siham Amraoui

Siham Amraoui is a doctoral candidate in the PhD French Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), where she pursues her research in literature and francophone studies.

She has been teaching French at Hunter College (CUNY) since 2023, and Arabic at the City College of New York (CUNY) since 2024. Her interdisciplinary background articulates literature, law and the humanities, with training in digital law and litigation, as well as advanced studies in French.

Her research focuses on contemporary francophone literature and dystopian narratives, in particular in the work of Boualem Sansal, on whose novel 2084: la fin du monde she has presented at Columbia University and Harvard University in 2025.

At the Pluriel Congress in Cordoba in February 2026, she delivered a paper entitled : « Sufi ethics and dystopian aesthetics in Naguib Mahfouz’s The Journey of Ibn Fattouma ».
