Conference: “In a World in Crisis, What Social and Spiritual Responsibilities for Believers?” — 60 Years of Nostra Aetate

10 October 2025, Rabat (Morocco), in person and online. The Al-Mowafaqah Ecumenical Institute for Research is organising an inaugural conference on Friday 10 October 2025 at 5:30 pm (local time), to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council decree Nostra Aetate (1965). It will focus on the theme “In a World in Crisis, What Social and Spiritual Responsibilities for Believers? Christian and Muslim Perspectives”, with the participation of:

  • His Eminence Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, Archbishop, Co-President of the Al-Mowafaqah Institute
  • Prof. Rachid Saadi, researcher in intercultural pedagogy and Islamic studies (Oujda, Brussels, IOTAM)
  • Chair: Fr. Christophe Roucou, Director of Studies, Head of the Service for Interreligious Dialogue of the Catholic Church in Morocco

10 octobre 2025, Rabat (Maroc), en présentiel et en ligne. L’Institut œcuménique de recherche Al-Mowafaqah organise une conférence inaugurale le vendredi 10 octobre 2025 à 17h30 (heure locale) à l’occasion du soixantième anniversaire du décret Nostra Aetate du Concile Vatican II (1965). Elle aura pour thème “Dans un monde en crise, quelles responsabilités sociales et spirituelles pour les croyants ? Regards croisés chrétiens et musulmans” avec la participation de :

  • Son Éminence le Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romero, archevêque, co-président de l’Institut Al-Mowafaqah
  • Pr. Rachid Saadi, chercheur en pédagogie interculturelle et en islamologie (Oujda, Bruxelles, IOTAM)
  • Modération : P. Christophe Roucou, directeur des études, responsable du service pour le dialogue interreligieux de l’Église catholique au Maroc.

10 أكتوبر 2025، الرباط (المغرب)، حضورياً وعبر الإنترنت. ينظّم معهد المُوافقة المسكوني للبحث محاضرةً افتتاحية يوم الجمعة 10 أكتوبر 2025 في الخامسة والنصف مساءً (بالتوقيت المحلي) بمناسبة الذكرى الستّين لإعلان Nostra Aetate الصادر عن المجمع الفاتيكاني الثاني (1965). سيتناول اللقاء موضوع «في عالم يعيش أزمة، أيّ مسؤوليات اجتماعية وروحية للمؤمنين؟ نظرات مسيحية وإسلامية متقاطعة»، بمشاركة:

  • سماحة الكاردينال كريستوبال لوبيز روميرو، رئيس الأساقفة، الرئيس المشارك لمعهد المُوافقة
  • الأستاذ رشيد السعدي، باحث في البيداغوجيا التفاعلية بين الثقافات وفي الدراسات الإسلامية (وجدة، بروكسل، IOTAM)
