Without Judaism, No Islam. The Denied Source
Published under the original title Ohne Judentum kein Islam. Die verleugnete Quelle, with the subtitle Die Wurzeln des muslimischen Antisemitismus. Eine aktuelle Analyse (“The Roots of Muslim Antisemitism. A Current Analysis”), this new book by Muslim theologian Mouhanad Khorchide, professor at the University of Münster and founding dean of its Faculty of Islamic Theology, opens with a stark observation: since 7 October 2023 at the latest, it has become clear how widespread antisemitism is among Muslims, worldwide as well as in Germany.
Khorchide explores several questions: why does antisemitism find such resonance among Muslims? Which Qur’anic and theological sources have served as a basis for Muslim antisemitism? What alliances does a radicalised Islamic antisemitism enter into today?
But he does not stop at this diagnosis. Khorchide sees Judaism as the very foundation of Islam and shows how, from the very beginning, Judaism served the Prophet Muḥammad as both grounding and legitimation for his message.

Une analyse actuelle), ce nouvel ouvrage du théologien musulman Mouhanad Khorchide, professeur à l’Université de Münster et doyen fondateur de la Faculté de théologie islamique de Münster, s’ouvre sur un constat : depuis le 7 octobre 2023 au plus tard, il est apparu à quel point l’antisémitisme est répandu chez les musulmans, à travers le monde comme en Allemagne.
Khorchide y explore plusieurs questions : pourquoi l’antisémitisme trouve-t-il un tel écho parmi les musulmans ? Quelles sources coraniques et théologiques ont pu servir de fondement à un antisémitisme musulman ? Quelles alliances noue aujourd’hui un antisémitisme islamique radicalisé ?
Mais l’auteur ne s’en tient pas à ce constat. Il comprend le judaïsme comme le fondement même de l’islam et montre comment, dès l’origine, le judaïsme a servi au prophète Muḥammad de socle et de légitimation pour sa prédication.

أي «لا إسلام من دون اليهودية: المَعين المنكَر»، مع عنوان ثانويّ يفيد بأنّ الكتاب تحليلٌ راهن «لجذور اللاسامية المسلمة». يفتتح المؤلّف كتابه بملاحظة صريحة: على الأقلّ منذ السابع من أكتوبر/تشرين الأوّل 2023، بدا واضحًا مدى انتشار معاداة السامية في أوساط المسلمين حول العالم وفي ألمانيا خصوصًا.
ويطرح خورشيده جملةً من التساؤلات: لماذا تلقى معاداةُ السامية هذا الصدى الواسع في أوساط المسلمين؟ وما المصادر القرآنية واللاهوتية التي وُظِّفت أساسًا لخطاب معادٍ لليهود عند المسلمين؟ وما التحالفات التي تنسجها معاداة الساميّة الإسلاميّة المتشدّدة اليوم؟
غير أنّ المؤلّف لا يكتفي بهذا التشخيص. فهو يرى في اليهودية أساسًا للإسلام نفسه، ويُبيّن كيف أنّها شكّلت منذ البدء ركيزةً للنبيّ محمّد ومصدرَ شرعيةٍ لدعوته.
