Ignacio Sepúlveda del Río
Ignacio Sepúlveda del Río is a professor of philosophy at Loyola Andalusia University, where he directs the Department of Philosophy and Humanities and chairs the Research Ethics Committee. A doctor of moral and political philosophy from the University of Valencia, he holds master’s degrees in ethics and democracy and in citizen integration policies (University of Valencia), a degree in theology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a degree in philosophy from Alberto Hurtado University (Chile).
His research focuses on ethics, political philosophy and the philosophy of religion, in particular the place of religions in the public sphere, Islam in Spanish society, and the role of religions in international relations.
He is the author of La vivencia religiosa en el mundo secular. Trascendencia e individualidad desde la perspectiva de Charles Taylor (Faculty of Theology of Granada) and co-author of Humanismo y ética básica (Desclée de Brouwer, 2017).
