A guest at the crossroads of several fields

Lamya Kaddor is one of the most prominent voices of contemporary German Islam. Trained as a scholar in Islamic studies, she taught Islamic religious education for many years in public schools in North Rhine-Westphalia and contributed to the development of Islamic education curricula across several German states. Since 2021, she has served as a Member of the Bundestag (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen), where she works in particular on home affairs and the fight against extremism. She is also an essayist and the author of several widely discussed books on education, Islamophobia and the place of Muslims in Germany.
