Translation, Aesthetics and Interreligious Dialogue
Published as Traducción, estética y diálogo interreligioso (Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, 2023), this edited volume, directed by Olga Torres Díaz (University of Seville, IXBILIA research group), highlights “the value of philological studies as an indispensable tool of knowledge” in interreligious dialogue. The volume explores how texts from different faiths are translated and interpreted, examining the intersection between thought, aesthetics and contemporary religious phenomena.
Published in the series Estudios Árabo-Islámicos de Almonaster la Real (no. 23), it brings together contributions working at the crossroads of translation, hermeneutics and interreligious encounter in the Arab-Islamic world.
Paru sous le titre Traducción, estética y diálogo interreligioso (Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, 2023), cet ouvrage collectif dirigé par Olga Torres Díaz (Université de Séville, groupe de recherche IXBILIA) met en avant « la valeur du rôle des études philologiques comme outil incontournable de connaissance » dans le dialogue interreligieux. Le volume explore les manières dont les textes des différentes croyances sont traduits et interprétés, en interrogeant l’intersection entre pensée, esthétique et phénomènes religieux contemporains.
Publié dans la collection Estudios Árabo-Islámicos de Almonaster la Real (n°23), il rassemble des contributions travaillant à l’articulation entre traduction, herméneutique et rencontre interreligieuse dans le monde arabo-islamique.
