Ángel Viñas Vera
Born in Spain in 1974, Ángel Viñas Vera is professor of ethics, politics and Christian social thought at Universidad Loyola Andalucía (Seville), within the Department of Humanities and Philosophy. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) and a degree in theology from the Faculty of Theology of Granada, and was also general director of the Colegio San José Sagrados Corazones in Seville.
His main research areas are the philosophy of religion, phenomenology and ethics. His doctoral thesis dealt with the thought and work of Kierkegaard and contemporary French phenomenology. He is currently working on three lines of research: the links between Kierkegaard’s thought and Jewish thought; the contribution of Francisco Suárez SJ to modernity; and interreligious dialogue with Islam.
