Anna Hager
Anna Hager is a researcher at the Department of Near Eastern Studies (Institut für Orientalistik) of the University of Vienna, where her work focuses on Christianity in the Middle East and on Christian-Muslim relations, particularly in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.
Holding a doctorate, she has studied Islamist movements’ attitudes towards the Copts of Egypt after the 2011 revolution, as well as the Lebanese model of coexistence. She is the initiator of the Network Promoting the Field of Middle Eastern Christianity and the author of Christian-Muslim Relations in the Aftermath of the Arab Spring (Edinburgh University Press, 2024).
