Mallory Schneuwly Purdie
Mallory Schneuwly Purdie has been studying cultural and religious diversity since the beginning of her career. Her background in ethnology, sociology and religious studies has made her familiar with cultural, social and religious pluralities, their issues and challenges for contemporary societies. Since 2008, she has focused her research on public institutions, in particular prisons.
Mallory Schneuwly Purdie has published extensively in her different fields of research. Recently, her publications have addressed issues related to detention, gender and sexuality, and the diversity of Islam in Switzerland.
