Michel Younès, Emmanuel Pisani and Wasim Salman: Three Pluriel Members Appointed Consultors to the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue

Official, Vatican. On Monday 19 January, Pope Leo XIV appointed 19 new consultors to the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. Among them are Michel Younès, General Coordinator of Pluriel and Dean of the Faculty of Theology at the Catholic University of Lyon; Emmanuel Pisani, Deputy Coordinator of Pluriel and Director of the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies in Cairo; and Wasim Salman, President of the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) in Rome and member of Pluriel‘s scientific committee.

They join the experts entrusted with contributing to the Catholic Church’s reflection on relations with other religions.

Officiel, Vatican. Le lundi 19 janvier dernier, le pape Léon XIV a nommé 19 nouveaux consulteurs auprès du Dicastère pour le dialogue interreligieux. Parmi eux, Michel Younès, coordinateur général de Pluriel et doyen de la Faculté de théologie de l’Université catholique de Lyon, Emmanuel Pisani, coordinateur adjoint de Pluriel et directeur de l’Institut dominicain d’études orientales au Caire et Wasim Salman, président de l’Institut pontifical d’études arabes et d’islamologie (PISAI) à Rome et membre du comité scientifique de Pluriel.

Ils rejoignent les experts chargés de contribuer à la réflexion de l’Église catholique sur les relations avec les autres religions.

رسميّ، الفاتيكان. إنّ البابا لاون الرابع عشر قد عيّن يوم الاثنين 19 يناير تسعةَ عشر مستشاراً جديداً في دائرة الحوار بين الأديان. من بينهم ميشال يونس، المنسّق العام للمنصة وعميد كلية اللاهوت في الجامعة الكاثوليكية في ليون، وإيمانويل بيزاني، المنسّق المساعد للمنصة ومدير المعهد الدومنيكي للدراسات الشرقية في القاهرة، ووسيم سلمان، رئيس المعهد البابوي للدراسات العربية والدراسات الإسلامية (PISAI) في روما وعضو اللجنة العلمية للمنصة.

وينضمّون بذلك إلى الخبراء المكلَّفين بالإسهام في تفكير الكنيسة الكاثوليكيّة حول علاقاتها بسائر الأديان.
