Wasim Salman

Wasim Salman is a Syrian-Italian professor of contemporary Arabic Islamic thought at the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) since 2016. Member of the Editorial board of Islamochristiana. He had obtained his PhD in theology at the Gregorian University (2009) and taught Catholic theology in Italy for several years. He obtained his PhD in Arabic philosophy at the University of Tor Vergata (2016). He published L’islam politique et les enjeux de l’interprétation. Naṣr Ḥāmid Abū Zayd, Mimésis, Milan 2017; Gadamer e I teologi, UUP, Vatican 2012.
