Antonio Navarro Carmona
Born in 1986, Antonio Navarro Carmona is a priest of the Diocese of Cordoba (Spain). He holds a doctorate in missiology and a licentiate in theology of religions, and teaches in several theological institutes in Cordoba. As the diocesan delegate for ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, he also advises the Spanish Episcopal Conference on these issues. His research focuses on Islamic-Christian relations, Muslim theology, and Sufism. He has notably published on Averroes, Ibn Abbad of Ronda, and the influence of Muslim mysticism on 16th-century Christian mysticism. His forthcoming book, currently in press, offers an introduction to Islam from a Christian perspective.
