Adam Dubin
A United States national, Adam Dubin is an assistant professor of law at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid, where he teaches public international law and directs the master’s programme in International and European Business Law. He is also an adjunct professor at New York University (Madrid), where he lectures on comparative human rights.
Before settling in Spain, he was a legal officer at the Office of the Co-Prosecutors of the United Nations Cambodian Tribunal and worked in India and The Gambia on the protection of the rights of women and girls. He publishes and lectures worldwide on access to justice and human rights in developing countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, and occasionally advises the United Nations and the European Union.
He holds a J.D. from Pace School of Law (New York) and a master’s degree in international development policy from the University of Manchester, and completed a doctoral thesis at the Complutense University of Madrid on access to justice in Kampala (Uganda). He recently co-edited Indian Cinema and Human Rights: An Intersectional Tale (Springer, 2024).
