Eider Muniategi-Azkona
A Spanish national, Eider Muniategi-Azkona is a professor of social and political sciences at Loyola Andalusia University (Spain). Her research focuses on migration, social and ethnic minorities, social policy and interreligious dialogue, in particular with Islam.
She previously taught at the University of Deusto (Bilbao): migration and cultural identity (2006-2007), social policy (2009-2012), social and cultural anthropology (2011-2012) and migration and health (2012-2013), within the European Regional Health Systems Master’s Programme. A holder of the Sasakawa Young Leadership Fund (SYLFF) international doctoral fellowship (2006-2009), she carried out several research stays at the Centre for Refugee Studies at York University (Canada, 2008), the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at the University of California San Diego (2009) and the Center for Ethnic and Migration Studies at the University of Liège (2010-2011).
