Guillaume Chatagny
Born in Switzerland in 1990, Guillaume Chatagny is a teaching and research fellow at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Fribourg (UNIFR). After studying religious studies, sociology and comparative literature, he worked from 2017 to 2023 as a graduate assistant at the Swiss Centre for Islam and Society (CSIS) of the University of Fribourg. He holds an advanced studies diploma in higher education didactics and a doctorate in sociology (UNIFR). His research interests focus on religious materialities, the teaching of religious cultures in schools and the ethnomethodological approach to the study of religions. Through his work, he examines the shaping of contemporary religiosity and seeks to develop pedagogical approaches suited to addressing religion-related issues in the school context.
