Safīr al-murtād wa-rāʾid al-isʿād
Safīr al-murtād wa-rāʾid al-isʿād is a pilgrimage account (riḥlat al-ziyāra) written by ʿAlī b. Yaḥyā b. Aḥmad al-Kīlānī in 1678‑1679. This rare narrative describes the official Hajj caravan setting out from Damascus to the holy cities, its stages, the pilgrims’ conditions and the hardships of the journey. This critical edition, established and introduced by Ahmed Gomaa (with Yaḥyā Zakariyyā al-Sawda), was published by Irtiyad al-Afaq (Arab Centre for Geographical Literature) and received the Ibn Battuta Prize for manuscript editing (travel literature) 2023‑2024.
Safīr al-murtād wa-rāʾid al-isʿād est un récit de pèlerinage (riḥlat al-ziyāra) composé par ʿAlī b. Yaḥyā b. Aḥmad al-Kīlānī en 1678‑1679. Ce rare récit décrit la caravane officielle du Hajj partie de Damas vers les villes saintes, ses étapes, la condition des pèlerins et les difficultés du voyage. Édition critique établie et présentée par Ahmed Gomaa (avec Yaḥyā Zakariyyā al-Sawda), parue chez Irtiyad al-Afaq (Centre arabe de littérature géographique) ; elle a reçu le prix Ibn Battuta d’édition de manuscrits (littérature de voyage) 2023‑2024.
«سفير المرتاد ورائد الإسعاد، رحلة الزيارة لحضرة سيّد الأسياد وحبيب ربّ العباد» رحلةُ حجٍّ نظمها علي بن يحيى بن أحمد الكيلاني سنة 1678‑1679م. يصف هذا النصّ النادر قافلة الحجّ الرسمية الخارجة من دمشق إلى الحرمين، ومنازلها وأحوال الحجّاج ومشقّات السفر. تحقيق ودراسة أحمد جمعة (مع يحيى زكريا السودة)، صدر عن «ارتياد الآفاق» (المركز العربي للأدب الجغرافي)، وحاز جائزة ابن بطوطة لتحقيق المخطوطات (أدب الرحلة) 2023‑2024.
