The Theological Foundations of Dialogue, by Julio L. Martínez

On 2 October 2024, at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid), Julio L. Martínez, s.j., professor of moral theology, delivered this lecture on the theological foundations of dialogue, as part of the faculty’s twenty-first theology conference (“The Church: identity, reform and dialogue”), marking the sixtieth anniversary of Paul VI’s encyclical Ecclesiam suam.

He explores the theological roots of dialogue and its significance for the contemporary Church in its relationship with other religious traditions and with the world.

Le 2 octobre 2024, à l’Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid), Julio L. Martínez, s.j., professeur de théologie morale, a prononcé cette conférence sur les fondements théologiques du dialogue, dans le cadre des vingt-et-unièmes journées de théologie de la faculté (« L’Église : identité, réforme et dialogue »), à l’occasion du soixantième anniversaire de l’encyclique Ecclesiam suam de Paul VI.

Il y explore les racines théologiques du dialogue et sa portée pour l’Église contemporaine dans son rapport aux autres traditions religieuses et au monde.

ويستكشف الجذور اللاهوتية للحوار ودلالته للكنيسة المعاصرة في علاقتها بالتقاليد الدينية الأخرى وبالعالم.
