Webinar. An Anglican Perspective on Interfaith Marriages in England

As part of the Kircher Online Lectures, a public webinar will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 4 PM (Central European Time). Entitled “Intimate Diversity: An Anglican perspective on interfaith marriage in England,” this event will address the pastoral and theological challenges related to interfaith marriages between people of different religions.

The speaker, Dr Paul Aidan Smith, is an Anglican priest and researcher. Having grown up in South India as the son of Anglican missionaries, he developed an early interest in interfaith relations. His presentation will draw on the findings of his doctoral thesis, defended at King’s College London, and published in his book Intimate Diversity.

This webinar aims to provide an in-depth reflection on the specific needs of these couples regarding spiritual guidance, liturgical preparation, and integration into religious communities, in a context where interfaith unions are becoming increasingly common.

The event is organized by the Kircher Network and Higher Education for Social Transformation (HEST).
