Quelle est cette fascination secrète pour l´altérité et pourquoi la différence est-elle un thème si attrayant?
Comment représentons-nous l´autre dans les sociétés arabo-islamiques ?
Quelles sont les principales formes de représentation de l´altérité dans ces sociétés et pourquoi les représentations populaires y retournent-elles constamment ?
Autrement formulé : les répertoires d´images que l´Islam entretenait à propos de l´autre à l´âge classique ont-ils changé au fil du temps, ou sont-ils restés figés ? Et comment expliquer les paradoxes dans la conception d´une altérité oscillant entre une transcendance absolue et une immanence latente ?
Voici des questionnements surchargés d´histoire, de mémoire et d´identité islamique narrative difficile à décoder. Historiquement, la perception de l´altérité non islamique est passée par plusieurs phases. Or, le mécanisme arabo-musulman de la transmission mémorielle, privilégie en premier lieu la conscience collective de l´appartenance à la communauté islamique. Ceci, rend les imbrications entre le corpus normatif, les réalités sociales et le modus vivendi de la gestion de l´autre, ainsi que les représentations imaginaires de celui-ci difficiles à discerner.
محاضرة ألقيت في المؤتمر الدولي الثالث الذي نظّمته Pluriel حول موضوع “الإسلام والغيرية” في 22 أيّار 2022، في جامعة القدّيس يوسف في بيروت.
ما هو هذا الافتتان السري بالغيريّة ولماذا يشكّل الاختلاف موضوعًا جذّابًا إلى هذا الحدّ؟
كيف نرى الآخرَ في المجتمعات العربيّة الإسلاميّة؟
ما هي أشكال تصوّر الغيرية في هذه المجتمعات ولماذا تعود التصوّرات الشعبية لتظهر فيها باستمرار؟
ما هي أشكال تصوّر الغيرية في هذه المجتمعات ولماذا تعود التصوّرات الشعبية لتظهر فيها باستمرار؟
وبتعبير آخر: هل مجموعة التصوّرات التي رسمها الإسلام للآخر في العصر الكلاسيكي تغيّرت مع مرور الزمان أم إنّها ظلّت ثابتة على حالها؟ وكيف يُمكن تفسير التناقضات في ظلّ نظرة إلى الغيريّة تتأرجح بين السمو المطلق والجوهر الكامن؟
هذه كلّها أسئلة محمّلة بالتاريخ والذاكرة والهوية الإسلامية السردية يصعبُ فكّ شفيرتها وفهمها. تاريخياً ، مرّت النظرةُ إلى الغيريّة غير الإسلامية بمراحل عدّة. إلّا أنّ الآلية العربية الإسلامية لنقل الذكرى تضعُ في المقام الأوّل الوعي الجماعي للانتماء إلى المجتمع الإسلامي. وهذا ما يصعَّب تمييزَ التداخل بين المضمون المعياري والحقائق الاجتماعية وطريقة الحياة لإدارة الآخر ، فضلاً عن التصوّرات التخيّلية لهذا الآخر.
