Call for Proposals: 7th Congress of Middle East and Muslim World Studies (Montpellier, 14-18 June 2027)

The 7th Congress of Middle East and Muslim World Studies will take place at the Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier (Route de Mende campus) from 14 to 18 June 2027. Co-organised by the GIS Moyen-Orient et mondes musulmans, the IISMM (EHESS) and the SEMOMM, together with the Montpellier laboratories (CRISES, ReSO, CEMM), this five-yearly meeting gathers the French-speaking community of Middle East and Muslim world studies.

Workshop (panel) proposals are due before 30 June 2026.

Le 7ᵉ Congrès des études sur le Moyen-Orient et les mondes musulmans se tiendra à l’Université de Montpellier Paul-Valéry (campus Route de Mende) du 14 au 18 juin 2027. Co-organisé par le GIS Moyen-Orient et mondes musulmans, l’IISMM (EHESS) et la SEMOMM, avec les laboratoires montpelliérains (CRISES, ReSO, CEMM), ce rendez-vous quinquennal rassemble la communauté francophone des études sur ces aires.

Les propositions d’ateliers (panels) sont attendues avant le 30 juin 2026.

يُعقد المؤتمر السابع لدراسات الشرق الأوسط والعوالم الإسلامية في جامعة مونبلييه بول-فاليري (حرم Route de Mende) من 14 إلى 18 يونيو 2027. ينظّمه بالاشتراك مجموعة الاهتمام العلمي للشرق الأوسط والعوالم الإسلامية (GIS MOMM)، ومعهد دراسات الإسلام ومجتمعات العالم الإسلامي (IISMM، EHESS)، والجمعية الأوروبية لدراسات الشرق الأوسط والعوالم الإسلامية (SEMOMM)، مع مختبرات مونبلييه (CRISES، ReSO، CEMM). يجمع هذا الحدث الخماسي مجتمع الباحثين الناطقين بالفرنسية في هذه المناطق.
