Ambrogio Bongiovanni

Ambrogio Bongiovanni has taken over the direction of the Centre for Interreligious Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University for the academic year 2021-2022.
Lecturer in interreligious dialogue at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Doctor of Chemical Engineering (Federico II University of Naples), he then undertook missiological studies at the Gregorian and Urbaniana Universities, obtaining his doctorate with a thesis on training in interreligious dialogue. His field of research and teaching focuses on topics related to interreligious dialogue (with particular reference to Islam and Hinduism), the pedagogy of dialogue and missiology. He is also a visiting professor at the section of the Faculty of Theology of Southern Italy. S. Luigi (Jesuits) in Naples and at the Faculty of Missiology of the Urbaniana University (Rome).

He is co-director of the series Missio Dei’ on interreligious and missiological studies at the Aracne publishing house (Rome). Member of the Board of Directors of the Magis Foundation (Italian Jesuit Movement and Action for Development).
