Hélène Rey

Born in 1992, Hélène Laurence Rey is a researcher specializing in interreligious relations and a humanitarian project manager in the Middle East. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology with a specialization in Arabic from University College London in 2014, Hélène Rey continued her studies with postgraduate courses in Middle Eastern Studies and Sociology at the University of Chicago from 2014 to 2016. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Cultures at King’s College London. Her academic background is complemented by numerous specialized trainings, particularly in Islamic-Christian relations, Islamic law, and interreligious dialogue, undertaken at various prestigious institutions in Europe and the Middle East. She has also participated in intensive Arabic programs in Jordan. Hélène Rey has presented her research at international conferences, addressing topics such as interreligious dialogue, Christian humanitarian aid in Syria, and minority rights in Iraq and Syria. Her expertise extends to the fields of geopolitics of religions and the history of Eastern Churches. Committed to interreligious dialogue, she is a member of the Commission for Dialogue with Muslims of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference and participates in an Islamic-Christian research group affiliated with the University of Innsbruck.
