Hamad Al Hosani

Hamad Al Hosani is a senior researcher and Head of the Terrorism and Extremism Studies Sector at TRENDS Research & Advisory (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), which he joined in early 2024. He previously served as a researcher at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (Abu Dhabi) and as an assistant professor from 2019 to 2021. He oversees the editorial programme of the Muslim Brotherhood Encyclopedia, published in sixteen volumes and translated into more than fifteen languages. His research focuses on political Islamism and contemporary extremist movements. He holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Zayed University (Abu Dhabi, 2021). Member of the Pluriel research group “Interreligious Dialogue Assisted by Artificial Intelligence”.
