“Fifty Years of Islamochristiana”, by Valentino Cottini
For the fiftieth anniversary of the journal Islamochristiana, published by PISAI and devoted to relations between Christians and Muslims, Valentino Cottini, Islamologist and former director of the journal, contributes the opening essay of the anniversary volume Fifty Years of Islamochristiana. Jerusalem (Islamochristiana 50, 2024).
He offers a detailed history of the journal, from its foundation in 1975 by Maurice Borrmans to its recent developments, recalling the role of this reference periodical, long produced by only two editors, in the international shaping of Muslim-Christian dialogue. Written in Italian, the essay is accompanied by substantial French and English summaries.
Pour le cinquantième anniversaire de la revue Islamochristiana, publiée par le PISAI et consacrée aux relations entre chrétiens et musulmans, Valentino Cottini, islamologue et ancien directeur de la revue, signe l’essai d’ouverture du volume anniversaire Fifty Years of Islamochristiana. Jerusalem (Islamochristiana 50, 2024).
Il y retrace en détail l’histoire de la revue, depuis sa fondation en 1975 par Maurice Borrmans jusqu’aux développements récents, restituant le rôle de ce périodique de référence, longtemps porté par deux seuls rédacteurs, dans la construction internationale du dialogue islamo-chrétien. Rédigé en italien, l’essai est accompagné de résumés substantiels en français et en anglais.
بمناسبةِ الذكرى الخمسين لمجلّةِ Islamochristiana، التي يُصدِرُها معهدُ الـPISAI وتُعنى بالعلاقاتِ بين المسيحيّين والمسلمين، يكتبُ فالنتينو كوتّيني، عالِمُ الإسلاميّاتِ والمديرُ الأسبقُ للمجلّة، مقالَ الافتتاحِ للمجلّدِ التذكاريِّ «خمسون عاماً على إسلاموكريستيانا. القدس» (Islamochristiana 50، 2024).
ويتتبّعُ فيه بالتفصيلِ تاريخَ المجلّةِ، منذُ تأسيسِها سنة 1975 على يدِ موريس بورمانس حتى تطوّراتِها الأخيرة، مُبرِزاً دورَ هذه الدوريّةِ المرجعيّةِ، التي حملَها طويلاً محرّرانِ اثنانِ فقط، في البناءِ الدوليِّ للحوارِ الإسلاميِّ-المسيحيّ. وقد كُتِبَ المقالُ بالإيطاليّة، مصحوباً بملخّصاتٍ وافيةٍ بالفرنسيّةِ والإنجليزيّة.
