Guy-Raymond Sarkis
Born in 1981, Guy-Raymond Sarkis is a priest of the Maronite Diocese of Beirut, a teacher-researcher at Saint Joseph University and also teaches at La Sagesse University in Lebanon. He received his doctorate in theology from the Gregorian University of Rome in 2017, with a thesis on reconciliation between Arab Islam and Christians in the Middle East.
His work explores, in particular, Islamic-Christian dialogue, theology of religions, ecclesiology, and Christology in the Arab context. He is the author of numerous books in Arabic and French, including “Un islam réconcilié avec les chrétiens arabes. Propositions de Mgr Georges Khodr” (2022), as well as several manuals introducing faith, theology, and Revelation in Christianity.
A member of the Theological Commission of the Maronite Diocese of Beirut since 2021, he actively contributes to interreligious dialogue and contextual theological reflection in Lebanon and the Arab world.
