Lyon: Call for Applications for a Doctoral Excellence Scholarship in Catholic Theology

The Catholic University of Lyon is issuing a call for applications for an excellence scholarship aimed at supporting a doctoral project in Catholic theology. Eligible fields include: Christian theology of religions, theology of interreligious dialogue, and theology of Christian-Muslim relations.

Objectives of the Scholarship

This excellence scholarship promotes high-level research and enables candidates to obtain a canonical doctorate in theology. It adds an international dimension to the academic pathway of doctoral students by:

  • integrating them into an international research network
  • enabling them to undertake a research stay abroad
  • involving them in research seminars or conferences organized by partner universities

Terms of the Scholarship

The scholarship holder’s academic record is reviewed annually by the scientific advisory committee to determine eligibility for renewal. The scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years.

Amount of the scholarship: €20,000 per year

The application must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Lyon, 23 Place Carnot, F-69002 Lyon, France, either by postal mail or by email, at the following address: theologie@univ-catholyon.fr

  • A complete CV
  • A letter of motivation
  • A five-page thesis proposal
  • The Master’s degree (Canonical Licentiate) diploma or a certificate of completion
  • The Master’s transcript of records
  • One or two letters of recommendation

L’Université catholique de Lyon lance un appel à candidature pour une bourse d’excellence destinée à soutenir un projet doctoral en théologie catholique dans les domaines : théologie chrétienne des religions, théologie du dialogue interreligieux, théologie des rapports islamo-chrétiens.

Objectifs de la bourse

Cette bourse d’excellence promeut l’excellence dans la recherche et permet l’obtention d’un doctorat canonique en théologie. Elle donne une dimension internationale au cursus d’études des doctorants et des doctorantes :

  • en les insérant dans un réseau de recherche international
  • en leur permettant d’effectuer un séjour de recherche à l’international
  • en les faisant participer au séminaire de recherche ou aux colloques organisés par des universités partenaires

Modalités d’attribution

Le dossier académique du titulaire de la bourse est examiné chaque année par le comité scientifique de suivi en vue de permettre une nouvelle attribution d’une année. La durée maximale d’attribution de la bourse est de trois années consécutives.

Montant de la bourse d’excellence : 20 000 €/an

تُعلن الجامعة الكاثوليكية في ليون عن فتح باب الترشح لنيل منحة تفوّق تهدف إلى دعم مشروع أطروحة دكتوراه في اللاهوت الكاثوليكي، وذلك في أحد المجالات التالية: اللاهوت المسيحي للأديان لاهوت الحوار بين الأديان اللاهوت في العلاقات الإسلامية–المسيحية

أهداف المنحة

تهدف هذه المنحة إلى تعزيز التميّز في البحث العلمي، وتُتيح الحصول على دكتوراه قانونية في اللاهوت. كما تُضفي طابعًا دوليًا على المسار الأكاديمي لطالب الدكتوراه من خلال:

  • إدماجه في شبكة بحث علمي دولية
  • تمكينه من إجراء إقامة بحثية خارج البلاد
  • إشراكه في الندوات البحثية أو المؤتمرات التي تنظمها جامعات شريكة

شروط المنحة

يُراجع الملف الأكاديمي للمترشح سنويًا من قِبل اللجنة العلمية المختصة، بغرض تجديد المنحة لعام إضافي. وتُمنح المنحة لمدة أقصاها ثلاث سنوات متتالية.
