“This book retraces the itinerary of Michel Younès in which he shows that otherness is part of identity. In a context where cultural and religious diversity is no longer an option, he seeks to avoid the logic of opposition and relativisation. How to find one’s bearings without getting lost? Based on his Lebanese roots, his dual training in theology and philosophy, as well as projects on religion in the workplace, the author presents his personal journey, his intercultural experience and his convictions, combining knowledge of religions and interreligious dialogue. By focusing on issues related to Islam, he provides keys to understanding, combining academic research and field experience. If interest in what is different from oneself is not spontaneous, educating not only to the other but through the other invites one to grow differently and to be oneself in its presence. It is an inspiring journey in a world of profound change.
