Contextualising Islam in contemporary Spain

Lecture by Jose-Luis LLAQUET at the second International Congress of PLURIEL in Rome.

I recently studied the presence of contemporary Islam in Spain from a multidisciplinary perspective. In this work, I have recently seen the exponential growth of Islamic associations and foundations that have been established in Spain. Similarly, I find that there is no scientific research that analyzes civil regulation and its statutory regime, the purpose of representative entities, organizations and members, budgets and activities conducted, their relationship with different Muslim schools or other groups, foreign conflicts and internal or external conflicts.

Titre original : “Contextualising Islam in contemporary Spain”
